Once a treatment plan is agreed, treatment is prescribed and supervised through its full course. This includes calculating doses for the individual patient, checking blood counts and organ function before each cycle, monitoring for side effects, adjusting doses where required, assessing response with scheduled scans or blood tests, and deciding when to continue, change or stop treatment. Treatment protocols follow established national and international guidelines, adapted to the individual patient's clinical situation.
