NILLOW — Phase II Randomised Trial in Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia
Dr. Deepak Garg is a co-investigator and joint first author of NILLOW, an investigator-initiated phase II randomised trial conducted in the Department of Medical Oncology, Dr. B.R.A. Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital, AIIMS New Delhi, under the supervision of Prof. Ranjit Kumar Sahoo as principal investigator.

The trial addressed the cost of second-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy in newly diagnosed chronic-phase chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML). It evaluated whether a reduced-dose regimen, administered under a defined research protocol with intensive pharmacokinetic and cardiac monitoring, could achieve a comparable early molecular response to standard first-line therapy.
The findings from the study were presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting in 2026.
